Your Coach – Deb

Hi ,

I am Deb Drinkwater, founder of Purple Bee Coaching .   Before you embark on a journey of self discovery with me, allow me to tell you a little bit about myself. I am a qualified Life coach with a Diploma in Performance Coaching with NLP and together with my Youth & Community BA (Hons) I have developed a passion for strength based approaches which maximise the potential of those I work with .

I am also a Trainer who has a CIPD Certificate in Practice and  an experienced Addictions Practitioner with over 25 years working with individuals and family members affected by alcohol and other drugs.

With a vast amount of experience in supporting people to make positive changes in their lives I have also undergone my own journey of recovery. Back in 2006 I recognised what a detrimental affect alcohol was having on my mental health and I made the life changing decision to  become abstinent from alcohol and all other mind altering substances. Working in the field of addiction this was not an easy decision to make.  I felt as if my decision to abstain shone a spotlight on my personal defects and for a while internal self stigma filled me with shame. However , through the help of a strong peer support group, I began to see that my recovery was nothing to be ashamed of and was, in fact something to be very proud of.

My personal journey has strengthened my belief that once we overcome our fears,  change brings hope and opportunity . It has also instilled in me strong values relating to acceptance unity and connection . These are the personal attributes I bring to every coaching session as I work with you to identify your goals and uncover your true potential to build the life you truly want for yourself.

sueDeb’s coaching was really interesting as well as life-changing. Getting all those  jumbled thoughts down on paper through the various exercises provided clarity on what I wanted to do and made me realise there were so many more options. Deb’s positive and encouraging approach also helps you feel ‘ I can do this!’ Thank you Deb.”

CarlWhen I had my first session with Deb I was put at ease immediately, I needed help with confidence
I was asked to draw a pie chart with aspects of my life, a percentage by each of them of how good or bad .I found this helpful, also list contacts  to help me . After explaining various examples of problems ,and how I managed them . Deb assured me I had more confidence than I realised. I found the whole experience very helpful and informative
